The Pakistan Forest Institute (PFI), Peshawar, has announced admissions for the BS Forestry Degree Program for the 2026 session.
The institute has also invited applications for admission to the fifth semester of BS Forestry. The announcement has been issued under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Climate Change, Forestry, Environment and Wildlife Department.
Male and female candidates from all provinces of Pakistan, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, can apply against limited open-merit and reserved-quota seats.
Eligibility for BS Forestry
Candidates applying for the four-year BS Forestry program must have completed:
- Secondary School Certificate with Science, or an equivalent qualification
- FSc Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering, or an equivalent qualification
- At least second division in both qualifications
- Applicants must obtain at least 50 marks in the NTS entry or screening test.
- The maximum age limit for BS Forestry candidates is 22 years on the closing date.
Eligibility for Fifth-Semester Admission
Admission to the fifth semester is available to candidates who have completed a BSc Forestry degree from Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar.
Applicants must have secured at least 45 percent marks in their BSc Forestry degree.
No NTS entry test is required for fifth-semester admission, and the advertisement does not specify an age limit for these applicants.
Can Result-Awaiting Students Apply?
Candidates waiting for their FSc results can apply on a provisional basis.
However, they must submit an attested copy of their detailed marks certificate or qualification certificate immediately after the result is announced.

How to Apply for BS Forestry
Candidates must first register for the NTS entry or screening test through www.nts.org.pk by August 10, 2026. Only applicants who secure at least 50 marks in the test will be eligible to continue the admission process.
Successful candidates can download the admission form from www.pfi.gov.pk from August 24, 2026. The completed form must be submitted with attested copies of the required documents and the original deposit slip for the Rs. 1,000 non-refundable application fee.
The complete hard-copy application must reach Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar, by September 11, 2026. Incomplete forms, applications without the original fee slip, and submissions received after the deadline will not be accepted.
