The Punjab Women Protection Authority has changed its helpline from 1737 to the new toll-free number 0800-01737.
The authority said women facing any kind of violence or harassment can now contact the new number for help. It added that the helpline will provide support 24/7.
Officials said the new toll-free number will make it easier for women to seek assistance in emergencies and report abuse more quickly.
