Pakistan’s Tallest Building to Be Built in Karachi’s DHA

Construction of what is being billed as Pakistan’s tallest building has officially begun in Karachi, with the foundation stone laid for the Burj Quaid project in DHA.

Once completed, the twin towers are expected to become the tallest buildings in Pakistan.

According to reports, the mega development will feature two 82-storey towers spread across six acres in DHA Golf Club, Karachi. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the Administrator of DHA Karachi, the Administrator of DHA City, and several prominent builders and developers.

Project officials said the necessary approvals have already been obtained from the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) for the construction of the high-rise towers.

Speaking at the ceremony, DHA City Administrator Brigadier Kashif Naeem described Burj Quaid as a landmark project that would contribute to Pakistan’s economic growth and showcase modern architecture.

He said the towers are expected to become a game-changer for the country’s construction industry while boosting commercial and residential activity in DHA. He also invited local and overseas investors to explore opportunities in DHA City, which he said offers a secure environment for business and housing projects.

Officials added that the development is expected to create thousands of jobs during its construction and operation. They also highlighted that major healthcare projects, including Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and a Dow Hospital, are currently under development in DHA City.

ABS Developers CEO Dr. Subiel Akram said the project reflects the company’s vision of contributing to Pakistan’s economic development through large-scale real estate investments.

He said the company has completed previous projects ahead of schedule and currently serves more than 20,000 members, adding that Burj Quaid is intended to connect Pakistan with global standards of modern urban development.
