The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) initiative aimed to have young filmmakers portray a soft image of Pakistan.

“We should promote our cultural values and new ideas. Young people should promote ‘Pakistanism’ in their movies,” said Imran Khan

Meanwhile, Director General ISPR, Major General Babar Iftikhar highlighted how this is the first short film festival of its kind in the history of Pakistan,

“We have almost won the war on terror, … with the help of this platform (Amateur Film Festival) the youth will highlight the positive face of Pakistan,” said DG ISPR.
