Multan Wedding: Six Sisters Tie The Knot With Six Grooms On The Same Day

Now that’s a big wedding!

A wedding in Multan is creating quite a buzz on social media. That’s because this unique wedding has not one, not two but six brides and grooms!

 

It goes without saying, this is the wedding season. From celebrities to public figures and common folks alike, this is that time of the year when everyone wants to enjoy a festive wedding. Some prefer a simple ceremony while other want grandiose event with everyone dressing up in fancy high-end outfits.

However, one wedding event caught everyone’s attention. And no, it’s not the Junaid Safdar wedding. Or any high profile wedding for that matter. It is a marriage of six sisters from one household marrying six brothers from another household. An all-in-one event in Multan!

Both households are relatives and belong to a joint family. The brides and grooms are all cousins. Although a multiple wedding is not a rare event in Punjab but this one took everyone by surprise. The six sisters are daughters of Mohammed Lateef who is happy to see them off.

According to one grooms, Shafiq, this was a “love marriage.” It seems cupid fired a burst of arrows on this family!

“We [six sisters] are happy about getting married on the same day,” says Anum, one of the six brides, sharing her emotions on her big day.

All of the brides were dressed up in the traditional red bridal outfit, two of them even wore the same outfits.
