We all love a good love story. So when Falak Shabbir spilled the tea on his and Sarah Khan’s love story, we were all ears.
In a recent appearance on ‘Good Morning Pakistan,’ the Ijazat singer talked about how he met Sarah and asked her father for her hand.
As usual Nida Yasir had the couple dish out the details with her blunt questions. She straight up asked for the story as to how the vocalist met the Band Khirkiyan actress.
According to the Meri Zindagi singer, the duo never dated. In fact, Sarah Khan was made aware of the engagement moments before Falak Shabbir proposed to her on her birthday.
“We were both doing a (fashion) show, Bridal Couture Week, I was walking for my really good friend Humayun, Sarah was walking for Nilofer Shahid, … I was sitting in the lobby, facing the mirror, and drinking tea. Two girls walked behind me, they passed, and came back. One of them was her sister Noor, and the other was her (Sarah Khan). They were going for the shoot. I was drinking tea and I felt someone standing behind me. So I looked back and Noor saw me and said hi.”
Sarah Khan explained how they went back as fans to meet him. Then they started talking and the Roag crooner invited the sister duo to watch his performance later in the night at the event.
However, they couldn’t make it since their photoshoot took too long. Sarah even apologized and invited Falak to watch them walk the ramp the next day.
Falak Shabbir joked how seeing Sarah Khan in bridal attire had him falling madly in love. Yet, he thought she was beautiful upon seeing her without makeup when she headed towards the shoot.
“It hit me so hard, my heart shattered and exploded.”
Falak Shabbir then asked Sarah Khan out for dinner, but she shared how she’s with her sisters. Their family was vacationing with them as they traveled for the fashion show.
“Little did she know her marriage would be arranged,” joked the singer.
The singer joked about how he wanted time alone with the Raqs-e-Bismil actress but her sisters really only gave him some two hours. Then when they finally got a moment alone, Falak laid out his entire life story and long-term goals.
“He said I want a ‘nikkah’, I’m not looking to meet up with you, … So I said you have to speak to my father.”
Falak Shabbir got right to it and called Sarah’s father the very next day. He was nervous when the response was as such that;
“Come to Karachi if you have a show. Don’t come specially for this rishta.”
Coincidentally, the Mahi Ve singer had a show in Hyderabad and found his excuse to go to Karachi. Then when he did meet Sarah Khan’s father, they talked for some three hours and the conversation kept burning.
The duo would have been married in March had it not been for the COVID-19 situation. There you have it folks, the tea on how Falak Shabbir swept Sarah Khan’s father off his feet and took home the bride.
