Pakistan’s fiery fast bowler Haris Rauf took to Instagram to share the first glimpse of his newborn son, Muhammad Mustafa Haris, in a post that was equal parts poetic and emotional.
“Blessed to announce the birth of our precious baby, Muhammad Mustafa Haris,” Rauf wrote, sharing a tender photo of himself cradling the tiny bundle of joy.
But it wasn’t just the announcement that tugged at heartstrings. Rauf, known for his intensity on the field, revealed a softer side by accompanying the post with a beautiful excerpt from Syrian poet Nizar Qabbani. The verses read:
Give me a child with your stubborn heart, or even your temper,
Give our kid your dark bright eyes, or your enchanted smile,
So that even when we are gone, the world will find within him
All of the reasons why I loved you! 🤍✨
The poetic tribute, seemingly dedicated to his wife Muzna Masood Malik, left fans swooning and added a touch of romance to the joyous occasion.
As expected, the cricketing fraternity was quick to flood the comments section with congratulatory messages. Fellow allrounder Shadab Khan sent his best wishes, hoping for health and happiness for the little one. Meanwhile, fast-bowling sensation Shaheen Afridi extended warm regards to Rauf and his family.
Rauf’s journey to fatherhood comes just over a year after he tied the knot with Muzna Masood Malik. The couple married in December 2022, with their wedding celebrations taking place in July 2023.
