On Tuesday, Forbes released a list of Asia’s 100 digital stars list, which highlights celebrities with powerful social media presence. Among other influential personalities, Aiman Khan, Mahira Khan and Atif Aslam are the only names from Pakistan that made it to the list.
The 100 digital stars list by Forbes features names of popular celebrities who have taken social media by storm this year. From China to India, South Korea and Philippines, it covers almost all of Asia-Pacific and it feels really great that 3 of our extremely talented stars have been featured in this list as well.
For those who don’t know, Aiman Khan is the most followed Pakistani celebrity on Instagram with over 7.7 million followers. She is an actress, a model and an entrepreneur and her social media presence is striking.
On the other hand, Mahira Khan is and will always be the Superstar of Pakistani cinema. She is about to hit 7 million followers on her Instagram, which means that she is not far behind to reclaim the title of ‘the most followed Pakistani actress on Instagram’.
Atif Aslam left us all amazed with his Coke Studio version of Asma ul Husna. During the prolonged lockdown, he became the source of strength of many Pakistanis as he interacted with his fans though his Twitter quite often.
Other notable stars on the list include Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan, Ranveer Singh; South Korea’s music sensation BTS, EXO, Twice, Blackpink; China’s Kris Wu, Yang Mi and Dilraba Dilmurat.
