Arnold Schwarzenegger is back in Terminator: Dark Fate. The actor will return to his iconic role for the sixth installment in the franchise (though James Cameron says otherwise) and we must say he looks different.
Schwarzenegger teased the new look of his iconic character. Now we know what the T-800 looks like in 2019.

Besides Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton will also be returning as Sarah Connor. This marks Hamilton’s return to the franchise after 25 years (millennials, feel old yet?).

The movie title was recently finalized as Dark Fate. This installment in the franchise also cast new characters.

So who are these new people? According to director Tim Miller (Deadpool), Mackenzie Davis plays Grace, and Natalia Reyes essays the role of Dani Ramos.
“Mackenzie is fantastic, I think people are going to be amazed by what a badass she is,”

Tim’s take on Natalia Reyes is that she is one actress that will not be overshadowed.
“And Natalia is wonderful – when you read the script you might think, ‘Oh, she’s not a warrior or a soldier or anything exciting like that’, or worry perhaps that she might be overshadowed by the other four – but absolutely not. She’s amazing, a-ma-zing.”

Sarah Connor is the Star for Dark Fate
However, it looks as though the spotlight will be on Sarah Connor. Director Tim Miller said that Linda’s return is what made Dark Fate possible.
“The fact that Linda came back makes this particular Terminator fresh, this story could only continue with her in the role of Sarah Connor,”
Tim knows that the iconic role of Sarah Connor is crucial to the franchise and story. Linda Hamilton name is hands down synonymous to Sarah Connor. So, the director brought back the original Sarah Connor.
“That’s the most important thing for me. Linda reinvented this character in a way that both honours who she was before and brings something new to the role.”
Diego Boneta is also part of the cast.
Return of Many Originals
James Cameron will also return for this sixth installment. After James Cameron gave the world Terminator. He then left after Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and that is where he will pick up the story.
Dark Fate will be a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day (altogether ignoring 3, 4 and 5). Cameron called the installments 3, 4 and 5 bad dreams (we agree, minus Lee Byung-hun as T-1000).
“This is a continuation of the story from Terminator 1 and Terminator 2,……and we’re pretending the other films were a bad dream. Or an alternate timeline, which is permissible in our multi-verse.”
