The Islamabad Protest turned Pakistan’s capital city into a battleground. The police resorted to using teargas shelling against protesters. However, after talks with the protesting government employees, they have been granted a 20% increase in salaries.

Islamabad Protest
A mob of angry government employees had taken to the streets to protest for a raise in their salaries. In order to disperse the mob, the police responded with a baton charge and threw hundreds of teargas shells.

The protestors were spread across the city – including areas like Constitution Avenue, Secretariat Block, and Cabinet Block. They reportedly also tried breaking into the Red Zone. A lot of netizens expressed their disappointment in how the police treated the government employees.

However, the left a broadcast journalist injured has shocked everyone.

Asia Kousar, a broadcast journalist for GNN was at the scene, recording for the news channel. She seemed to be preparing for her report went the incident took place.
As she was spectating, a protester from the background threw a large rock at her. All of this was caught on camera. And Asia also reshared it on her Twitter account.
