Bushra Ansari Won’t Return to Pakistan Unless YOU Take Coronavirus Seriously

Will you heed her words?

Bushra Ansari

The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has reached almost 80,000, yet the public remains unbothered. So much that famous celebrity Bushra Ansari says she’s not coming back to Pakistan unless we take it seriously.

In a video message posted by the Aangan Terha actress, she can be seen in Toronto where she says she will be staying until the pandemic ends in Pakistan.

I miss Pakistan a lot. I can’t return to Pakistan because you all are roaming the bazaars.

She further added that the Pakistani citizens are not taking it seriously, which is why others are advising her to stay abroad until the spread of the virus declines.

You don’t understand; You’re taking this (virus) as a fad and a joke which is why it has spread so much. And now we’re stuck here wondering how to return back to our country. We’re scared and everyone is advising us to not go back to Pakistan.

In the end, Bushra requested the public to help stop the spread of this virus by staying at home and taking safety precautions.

Business as usual

Recently in Pakistan, malls have reopened and the government has all but forgotten the seriousness of the problem. Many government functionaries like Imran Ismail and Khuram Shah believe that Pakistan is ‘not seriously affected’ by COVID19.

One healthcare worker claimed that the role of the government and the public is extremely important in fighting this war against the coronavirus:

Everyone’s scared and exhausted. But we are fighting, we are pushing the limits. All we ask is that government and people understand that they can help us help them by staying at home and providing us quality protective gear.
