When you have a federal minister who doesn’t know what she’s talking about, you know its going to become a meme. Something similar happened to the Minister for Climate Change Zartaj Gul Wazir who has given her fans and critics something to laugh about in these bleak times. Apparently our minister does not know what the 19 in COVID-19 stands for.
In a current affairs show on PTV News, Zartaj Gul Wazir said:
“COVID-19 means that it has 19 points that can be applied in any country in any way,”

No minister, you’ve got it all wrong as one Twitter user explains.
Feb2020, WHO announced an official name COVID-19 for novel coronavirus outbreak
In COVID-19
CO' stands for 'corona
VI' for 'virus
D' for disease and
19 for 2019(year it emerged)
But according to highly educated minister, 19 stands for whatever points, any country wanna adopt pic.twitter.com/50ELJ0YPKl— Dr Humma Saif (@HummaSaif) June 20, 2020
The rest of the Internet wasn’t as kind as to offer a correction and went straight to making memes about Gul’s gaffe.
We should have Zartaj Gul Wazir explain more things. Maybe that’s how people will learn things.
But for now, let’s enjoy these memes.

One of the wittiest reactions detailing her own ministry and her own job:

While there’s no harm in having a laugh and making a meme, some people took things too far. It’s never a good idea to objectify and slut-shame a woman. So let’s keep it classy, folks.
It’s one thing to judge #zartajgulwazir for her professional conduct & knowledge; that is your democratic right, to have an opinion. It’s quite another to use filthy language against her & say obscene things about her character or body. That is evil & deeply shameful
