‘I initiated the proposal’: Shaheen Afridi Talks About Fiancée Ansha Afridi For the First Time

Shaheen Afridi had a recent encounter with the renowned host Sohail Warraich in Aik Din Geo Ke Saath. Sohail asked some prodding questions about Shaheen’s personal life that he usually avoids talking about.

For the first time, Shaheen spilt some beans about his love life. Just last year, Shahid Afridi officially confirmed that his daughter Ansha Afridi is engaged to Shaheen.

The host asked who initiated the proposal, to which Afridi replied that he was the one who wanted to marry Ansha. “Yeh meri khuwaish thi,” Shaheen shyly admitted. Shaheen was further asked if he has met his to-be wife? The cricketer replied that he had met her and will meet her in the future too.

The host jokingly asks Shaheen if Ansha is rattled by his female fans, to which the cricketer simply laughed again.

Marriage Plans

About his marriage plans, he said;

“I am right now focusing on cricket and she has her studies to be completed so when the right time will come we will get married.”

Shaheen Shah Afridi is a Pakistani professional cricketer who plays as a fast bowler for the Pakistan national cricket team. He made his international debut for Pakistan in April 2018 and his Test match debut for the national team in December 2018.

In 2017, Afridi gained the limelight as a 6-foot 6-inch 17-year-old Pakistani fast-bowling talent who bowled at 90 mph. He is considered an all-rounder and seeks to excel in bowling, batting and fielding. In August 2018, he was one of the thirty-three players to be awarded a central contract for the 2018–19 season by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The following year, Afridi was awarded the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy (Cricketer of the Year). Afridi was named as the captain of the Lahore Qalandars for the 2022 Pakistan Super League in late 2021.
