Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, was famous even before he being appointed as the head of the government. His good looks aside, the international cricketer was popular for holding his ground and being a strong-willed gentleman. But as they say, behind every successful man, there’s a woman. IK says he could not have survived without his wife Bushra Bibi.
In an interview with journalist Susanne Koelbl for the German magazine Der Spiegel, the PM spoke on several matters of importance. They discussed pressing issues like the Yemen conflict, the Afghan war, Pakistan’s relationship with China, and the ongoing pandemic.
However, it was his comments about his wife, Bushra Bibi, that caught the public’s attention. To make the conversation a little lighter, Susanne asked:
You recently remarried. The first lady, Bushra Bibi, is a well-known faith healer. Do you take her advice on political issues?
Bushra Bibi is PM Imran Khan’s 3rd wife, who he married about 2 years ago. The intimate Nikah ceremony raised a lot of questions about Bushra Bibi, back during that time, who was reportedly his spiritual healer at the time.
Answering Susanne’s question, IK said:
Only a fool doesn’t talk about everything with his wife. She has great wisdom. I discuss everything with her. Problems I face in the government, dealing with complex situations.
He further added that through Bushra Bibi, he has found a soulmate.
She is my soulmate. She is my companion. I would not have survived without her.
