Izat Bibi, a Wakhi Pakistani American influencer is remarkably pulling off some of the most iconic looks of Pakistani women. Inspired by the vision and talent of the country’s legends, the artist recreates their looks.
She first transformed herself as Fatima Jinnah, aka Māder-e Millat in honor of Aurat March in late February, but this soon took a turn and became a series, titled Influential Women of Pakistan.
The history of Pakistan is complex but we must not forget that women were actively involved in significant movements. On that note, Izat Bibi decided to pay tribute to these women (from the 1940s onwards) and recreate their iconic moments from the past.
“In honor of #auratmarch, I’ll be posting tributes to influential Women of PAKISTAN throughout the decades from the 40s until present day, accompanied by makeup/outfit looks inspired by them,” Izat Bibi had said.
From political figures, activists, and women who shaped the music industry, Izat effortlessly pulls off their looks with costumes and makeup. With a power punch of education and entertainment, here are some of Izat’s iconic recreations.
