Read more to find out.

News of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari’s engagement spread like wildfire on the internet after her invitation cards were leaked. After putting rumors about her fiancé-to-be to bed, sources have now revealed she will be recreating her mother’s Nikkah dress.

Resham Rivaj is a clothing brand in Pakistan that has been designing bridal wear since 1983. In 1987, when the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto tied the knot with Asif Ali Zardari, she wore a green dress created by the same brand.

Pakistan Peoples Party, in an official tweet, revealed that Bakhtawar is tying the knot with Mahmood Choudhry. Her fiancé is a law school graduate from the University of Durham and is now a popular business tycoon in UAE. He is a familiar face in the industries related to construction, finance, and tech.

Now, rumor has it that the renowned daughter of the former Prime Minister and former President of Pakistan will be recreating her mother’s Nikkah dress for her Dholki ceremony. The dholki ceremony is a pre-wedding celebration where the attendants spend the evening singing songs and dancing to the beats of a traditional dholak drum.

The rumor has been confirmed by the bridal-wear brand itself. Taking to their Instagram account, they wrote:

Congratulations to Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari on her engagement, feeling honored that she wants to recreate Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto’s look of the green outfit designed by #ReshamRevaj. Sharing the picture of the original prototype.
