A couple of months after tying the knot with Naimal Khawar, Hamza said he will no longer act or direct any drama or movie. According to the 36-year-old, as an atheist who accepted Islam once again, he wanted to focus wholly on his faith.
In a video posted on Twitter, theĀ Pyarey Afzal actor said he will focus on movies or shows that highlight the importance of Islam.

While some netizens cheered him on, others called the video an attention-seeking attempt. But earlier this year Hamza made a U-turn saying he did not quit acting.
Thankyouā¤. As i said in my video, i haven't quit acting bcz i dont see it any whr in Islam as being haraam in itself. I just took a long break from acting to give more time to religion & insha Allah will make & maybe act in projects made within boundaries Allah has set for us.

Fans have been confused ever since. Will we see theĀ Parwaaz Hai Junoon actor in upcoming movies and shows? In a recent interview with Ahmad Ali Butt, the star was asked to clarify whether he has quit acting or not. Here’s what Hamza said:
I have definitely not quit acting. In fact, I’m in the process of making two projects. So, I have not quit acting, but taken a long break.
Gohar Rasheed, who was also a guest in the online interview, jokingly added that since Hamza had just gotten married it was important for him to spend time with his wife. TheĀ Mann Mayal actor replied saying:
I have to give her time my whole life. She is my priority number 1!
