Blockbuster Bollywood film PK is returning to cinemas very soon. The film was an international hit and people all over the world enjoyed it. Back in 2014, when it was released, PK made us all question the ways of our society and it still remains a classic.
At the end of the film, we see Aamir’s character aka PK return to Earth with his alien friend, played by Ranbir Kapoor. This left audiences wondering whether there will be a sequel and if there is, will we see Ranbir as the protagonist?
All those questions have been answered as the producer confirmed a second chapter to the hit movie. Recently, Vidhu Vinod Chopra confirmed that PK 2 is under way. Talking to Mid-Day, the filmmaker said,
“We will make the sequel. We had shown Ranbir [Kapoor’s character landing on the planet] towards the end of the film, so there is a story to tell. But Abhijat [Joshi, writer] has not written it yet. The day he writes it, we will make it.”
Hirani added,
“We are not in the business of making money, we are in the business of making cinema. If making money [was our goal], by now, we would have made six to seven [installments of] Munna Bhai, and two to three [editions of] PK. We seek joy, happiness and peace over a few crores.”
