The wait is finally over! The world’s largest streaming platform, Spotify is launching in Pakistan very soon. On Monday, Spotify announced that it would launch in 85 new markets including Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nigeria in the next few days.

This will make the music streaming service available to more than a billion people around the world. This is huge!

Last year in November, the music company created a verified Instagram account for Pakistan. This led to unending speculation and excitement. Not only that, Pakistani singer Shamoon Ismail also ‘confirmed’ that ‘Spotfy is coming to Pakistan.’

However, the company had not released an official statement. Now that it has been confirmed, music lovers are excited for the launch. Stan Twitter is brimming with reactions and Pakistani K-pop fans are over the moon. Now, they will be able to support their favorites and stream their songs.

Spotify is by far the favorite among individuals because of its large music library. Moreover, it is often spot on with music recommendations. In a blog post, the company said,

“Listeners enjoy Spotify because we introduce them to music to fall in love with—including music they might not have found otherwise. In fact, Spotify drives 16 billion artist discoveries every month, meaning 16 billion times a month, fans listen to an artist they have never heard before on Spotify. We’re proud of that and are actively refining our algorithms to enable even more fan discoveries of new artists each month,”
