The wedding festivities for Maryam Nawaz and her son Junaid Safdar are in full swing. Junaid’s marriage took place in London with his Valima set to take place on December 17 in Lahore. Previously, the PML-N chairman’s daughter held a special Qawwali night for her son.
The latest scoop is that fashion designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasir (aka HSY) is designing the outfits for the groom. The designer took to his social media account on Instagram to reveal his plans for dressing up Junaid in style.
“Was a pleasure do fittings of all the clothes we have designed for Junaid Safdar for his upcoming wedding this week,” HSY wrote. “We created looks that are both classic and timeless using materials that are all proudly made in Pakistan. I found him to be incredibly polite and well mannered and all of us at HSY wish him and his wife all the very best for the future.”
However, one very odd picture caught the internet’s attention. The picture of Junaid Safdar, HSY and a slightly “photoshopped” Maryam Nawaz has social media users questioning the authenticity of the picture.

He belongs to an Arain family who are an active figures in politics. His father is Mian Hamid Yasin, who was a chief whip during the PPP government under Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
