Mehwish Hayat and Humayun Saeed Are Coming Back in “London Nahi Jaungi”

Is it a sequel to Punjab Nahi Jaungi?

Nadeem Baig has confirmed that the duo of Mehwish Hayat and Humayun Saeed will be returning to his much anticipated film London Nahi Jaungi.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Humayun Saeed will be playing the male lead role but the hunt for his opposite female lead lady was still on. Now, the director of the film, Nadeem Baig, while talking to a foreign media outlet has confirmed Mehwish Hayat as the leading actress for London Nahi Jaungi.

Before this Mehwish Hayat and Humayun Saeed were seen together in Punjab Nahi Jaungi. Punjab Nahi Jaungi proved to be a big success with the box office numbers exceeding the 50 crore rupees mark. Not just that, Nadeem Baig had aslo casted the two stars in his hit TV drama Dil Lagi.

Although, the name, London Nahi Jaungi, suggests it might be sequel to Punjab Nahi Jaungi but it isn’t the case. According to Nadeem Baig, the upcoming film will have a totally different story having the same genre. The film will be written by Khalil ur Rehman Qamar.

Furthermore, the veteran director also confirmed that he will be working on another film as well. No real surprises, Humayun Saeed has also bagged the lead role in the unnamed film as well. Can we expect Mehwish Hayat opposite him?

The release date for either of the film couldn’t be confirmed as yet because according to Nadeem Baig he hasn’t decided for which film he was going on the floors first. But media reports suggests that London Nahi Jaungi will be releasing on Eidul Azha next year.

The other film will be written by Wasay Chaudhry.
