During the past few days, TikTok celebrity Sandal Khattak lashed out at the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) over their investigation against her. Now the FIA has revealed that the inquiry against the TikToker was initiated on a complaint by Mubashir Lucman.

FIA states that anchorperson Mubashir Luqman had filed a complaint against Sandal Khattak with the body’s cybercrime wing.

Last week, the TikTok star approached a Lahore sessions court and demanded that the FIA stop harassing her. The complainant alleging that the FIA was not forthcoming and that she was not being informed about why she was being investigated.

“The FIA has been harassing me. I was summoned for an inquiry on October 28 and November 5, without any knowledge of what the investigation is about.”

FIA then submitted its written response to the court. The investigative agency denied that the TikTok celebrity or her family were being harassed. They asserted that they were just doing their job.

The body had issued summons to Sandal Khattak after Lucman filed a complaint alleging the TikToker was uploading ‘fabricated and false‘ videos about him on social media.

Meanwhile, the TikToker had also petitioned for all documents pertaining to the investigation against her to be brought before the court.

This isn’t the first time Mubashir Lucman approached legal channels against the TikToker. Previously the television presenter filed an FIR alleging theft against both Sandal Khattak and Hareem Shah when the two shot videos in his private plane.

Later the two TikTokers asserted that those theft claims were false. They stated that the actual conflict was that they had exposed the TV presenter’s private plane.

Other Petitions Against Sandal Khattak

Simultaneously there have been scores of petitions to ban the video-sharing app, TikTok amid all the controversy surrounding Hareem Shah and Sandal Khattak.

Despite several complaints and a petition in the Lahore High Court, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has stated that they have no intention of banning the app currently.

PTA said currently it has no plans to ban TikTok, despite almost 500 applications requesting that they take action. PTA made the decision not to ban the app because they are collaborating with them.
