Pakistan, Turkey to Co-Produce Series on the Life of Salahuddin Ayyubi

After Turk Lala, Pakistan and Turkey are collectively bringing another project. The leading media companies of the two countries have announced plans to co-produce a television series based on the life of revered Muslim general, Salahuddin Ayyubi.

A great warrior and founder of the Ayyubid Dynasty, Salahuddin, also known in the West as Saladin is one of the most celebrated Muslim leaders around the world.

Pakistan’s Ansari Films (owned by Dr. Kashif Ansari) & Shah Films (Owned by Dr. Junaid Ali Shah) and Emre Konuk, owner of Turkey’s Akli Films have signed a contract for the joint entertainment venture on Saturday. Turkish producer Emre Konuk officially announced the news on Twitter.

“A happy news on a blessed Friday night! Contract signed between Akli Films and Ansari&Shah Films about ‘Sultan Selahaddin Ayyubi’. May this international project, which will be prepared with the cooperation of Turkey and Pakistan, be beneficial to our country and our art world,” he wrote.

 

Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui are also part of the project. Taking to his Instagram, Adnan Siddiqui shared his excitement and said that the audience should really look forward to some good content.

“Taking our commitment to strengthen ties with Turkey further, we embark on a new chapter of this friendship that, we hope, would lead to exchange of fabulous ideas and talent. It’s a win win for our industries and our audience who should look forward some good content coming their way. Have collaborated with ….. to produce a magnum opus on the great warrior king, Salahuddin Ayyubi. Please partake in our happiness.”
