Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is one of the most respected and accomplished musicians from Pakistan. The Qawali singer comes from a longline of renowned musicians who elevated the genre of classical music. Rahat honed his skills by learning from the best, which is his legendary uncle, the great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

Over the years, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has garnered a huge fan following, delivering mesmerizing vocals to hit songs on the immensely popular Coke Studio. The renowned singer will be featured in the upcoming season of the hit music show. However, things may turn problematic for the singer as the FBR are keeping a close eye on him.

The popular classical singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is being investigated once again by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

FBR has already looked into the singer’s travel history. This isn’t the first time that the FBR has gone after the singer as sources claim that in 2014 he was taxed for Rs. 624,730. However, following information from a third party, FBR has started an audit into Rahat’s taxes.

A response has been requested from the singer by December 7. In case of a non-submission of reply, legal action will be taken against Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
