A Rambo Film For All?
Rambo 5: Last Blood trailer challenges our traditional notions of Rambo movies, is general suitable for all generations, and preaches the eternal hustle till last blood.
This new Rambo 5 movie may be offering something for every generation. The first Rambo hit theaters in 1982. The film confronted post-war PTSD and gave us the iconic John Rambo.
Going to Mexico
Last Blood follows John into Mexico to save a friend’s daughter from a drug cartel. This makes it a Gen Z movie, which is appropriate seeing how Old Town Road is also an anthem for this generation.
The recurring theme of contemporary conflict is present in Rambo 5Â too.
Most Rambo movies have been about the will of a soldier against international conflict.
It checks off all the boxes of a classic Rambo movie; full of vengeance, murky politics, bloodshed and battle.
Besides Sylvester Stallone as the main character, Last Blood cast Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Adrianna Barraza, Yvette Monreal, Genie Kimaka Yenah Han, Joaquin Cosio, and Oscar Jaenada.
