Maryam Nawaz (or Maryam Safdar) is one of the most prominent figures in the Pakistani political landscape. The daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is a politician and currently the head figure of the Pakistan Muslim League-Noon (PML-N) party.
The 48-year-old is constantly in the headlines, promoting her party’s political agenda and stern opposition to current Prime Minister Imran Khan and his PTI government. These days, Maryam is busy doing public speeches and rallies to gather support among voters. Although she claims to be a woman of the people, a recent viral video shows otherwise.
While on her way to make another public appearance, Maryam and her delegation push away commoners trying to walk side-by-side with her. Maryam Nawaz even gestures her loyal supporters to back off, which has caused an uproar among netizens on social media.
