Sanam Jung Shares Tips to Lose Weight in Ramazan [Video]

The consumption of fried food is at peak during Ramazan. Not only that, but we also crave for other snacks after taraweeh and while it all seems too ‘satisfactory’ for the time being, it results in weight gain. This is why Sanam Jung has decided to address the issue in her latest vlog.

Sanam Jung has been very open about her weight loss journey and she also shared her meal plan last Ramazan. This time too, the actress has made a vlog to help out those who want to lose weight while fasting.

 

Sanam Jung brought her nutritionist and weigh management diet consultant, Dr. Areej Haroon on-board who shared some easy tips to lose weight while enjoying your delicious treats.

Dr. Areej’s advice is to eat everything but in moderation. Instead of sugar, use gur (jaggery) in your tea, instead of parathay, eat whole wheat roti or a slice of brown bread, instead of sugary beverages and juices, try to introduce fruit smoothies or juices in your diet. She also advised to eat fresh fruits, both in sehri and iftar and drink adequate amount of water.

For the pakora and fried food lovers, you must keep an eye on those calories. If you are someone who can not resist fried food whatsoever, try to limit your consumption by having them only thrice a week and control your portions.



 

In the end Ramazan is the month to get closer to the Almighty and focus more on our spiritual growth. Food is important to keep our body moving, however, it shouldn’t be the cause of bad health.
