Apparently, one of Sarah Khan’s old interviews has surfaced on the web and there are a lot of questions surrounding it.
A few days ago, one of her fan pages shared a clip from a morning show where she was asked if she ever wishes to have ‘6 or 7 maids and a Filipino’ who would take care of her children.
To which the Sabaat star jokingly replied,
“No one will ever touch my children.”
She further explained,
“Children learn from the people around them. If they live with maids 24/7, they will adopt their habits. I will raise my children all by myself and make them humans of my desire. But they can do whatever they want in their life.”

Time to Address Our Concerns
While celebrities are often criticized for completely relying on maids and house helpers, Sarah Khan was lauded for her choice of words.
But it seems that the morning show host, Farah Saadia still has a lot to learn.
Coming back to her question,
“Don’t you wish you had 6 or 7 maids, a Filipino who would look after the children and the house?”
Stereotyping Filipinos or any other group of people is not okay. The video is old, but it is still there. People can easily lookup for it on YouTube and get influenced by it.
Filipinos or any other racial or religious group should not be considered as ‘lower class’ and stereotyped for their work.
