Shadab Khan tied the knot with the daughter of the Pakistan team’s former head coach, Saqlain Mushtaq, in a private nikkah ceremony on Monday.
‘Tis the wedding season, right after Shan Masood’s glamorous shaadi with Nische Khan, another Pakistani cricketer got nikkafied. The latest cricketer to get hitched is Shadab Khan, much to the heartbreak of many fangirls.
The 24-year-old all-rounder made the announcement on Twitter, saying that he has become part of “his mentor Saqi bhai’s family”.
Shadab Khan wrote,
Alhamdulilah today was my Nikkah. It is a big day in my life and start of a new chapter. Please respect my choices and those my my wife’s and our families. Prayers and love for all.
The Islamabad United captain shared a long note on Twitter, requesting his fans and the media to respect his wife’s privacy as she and her family want to stay out of the public limelight. However, ever the jokester, Shadab Khan cheekily added that if people want to send salami, he’s more than happy to share his account number.
Fellow teammates of Shadab Khan sent their heartiest congratulations and well-wishes to the young cricketer on starting a new chapter in his life.
