Shamoon Abbasi is a versatile and talented actor. He is best known for taking roles that are unique and intriguing, which is why it shouldn’t come as surprise to not see Shamoon in typical drama lead roles.
Unlike most actors that tend to fly across the border to Bollywood make a name for themselves or get fame, Shamoon Abbasi has no interest in such things. In a recent interview with ARY, the actor revealed that he has no plans to work in Bollywood or with any of the actresses from India – particularly Priyanka Chopra!

Shamoon revealed in the interview about various Bollywood film offers and shared his views about showbiz. In an interview, he rated Pakistani actors and when the host asked him about the legend in Pakistani showbiz, he simply replied, “Sahir Lodhi.” No wonder Shamoon is such a talented actor because we’re not sure if that was a sarcastic response or a genuine answer!
Shamoon also believes that actor Yasir Hussain is overrated, which may be true. However, it was Mr. Abbasi’s remarks about the Priyanka that piqued everyone’s interest. Shamoon talked about his Bollywood offer and said that Priyanka Chopra wanted to work with him but he refused to work with her.He revealed the reason behind this and said,
“Actually Indian film director Vishal Bhardwaj called me and I was shooting somewhere. As I am a committed man so I told him that once this shooting is over then I will come. On this, Vishal bhai said that it’s not possible because he has taken dates from Priyanka so that’s why it didn’t happen.”
Shamoon Abbasi is pretty satisfied with his decision and said,
“I took a good decision because my movie Waar was hit in Pakistan and I didn’t have to go to Bollywood.”
