It has become easier than ever for people around the world to savor their favorite shows. Be it the worldwide mania around the Spanish show ‘Money Heist’ or to get moved by the Islamic history and heroes via the ‘Ertugrul’ series.
This has benefitted the media industry of the entire world to have the content seen, recognized, and liked. Similarly, Pakistani industry and artists have also benefited by moving to a warmer, sunnier climate. Pakistani content is emerging and stealing the spotlight across countries.
There have been OTT websites that are now promoting content full of diversity, be it Netflix, Prime Video, or Zee5, etc.
Last year, five series were introduced on Zee5 produced by Pakistani artists such as the big hit – Churails, Ek Jhooti Love Story, Dhoop ki Dewar. And now there are also a number of upcoming series in the pipeline like Abdullahpur Ka Devdas, Mann Jogi, and more.
Recently, Zara Noor Abbasi broke the news about her upcoming series for Zee5 with Wahaj Ali. It is written by Umera Ahmed and directed and produced by Haseeb Hassan.
Recently, news surfaced on the web that an anthology series, with a new storyline and stellar cast, is going to be released soon starring Ahsan Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, Sarwat Gillani, Sanam Saeed, and Sheheryar Munawwar.

The cherry on top, Fawad Khan, will reportedly make a cameo appearance in this series. Indian producer Shailja Kejriwal, who has previously produced other Pakistani web series on Zee5, shared a picture of Fawad Khan on Instagram with the caption, “FINALLY! ‘Zindagi’ safal!”. Under that respective post, Mehreen Jabbar commented “excited for this one,”
A fan commented asking the producer: “Ma’am are Sanam and Fawad working together on this project??” To which she responded with an emoji hinting at it being a secret.
Fans from both countries are completely excited about the upcoming series considering it to be a real treat to the eyes.
