In an attempt to take a cool selfie, a 16-year-old girl lost her life after drowning in Kunhar River of Kaghan Valley. The girl, identified as Rimsha, was from Lahore and she was visiting the valley as a tourist with her family.
She was rescued by the local drivers, however, by the time they reached the hospital, she had already died.
SHO Kaghan Police Station, Ghulam Mustafa said,
“The local divers rescued the girl from the river and shifted her to the nearby hospital where doctors pronounced her dead.”
Last week, a similar case of drowning was reported in the Thakot area of Sindh. A boy named Muhammad Hussain had drowned in the Indus River, however, his body has still not been recovered from the mighty river.
