Boy Drowns While Making TikTok Video in Narowal

This is tragic.

TikTok deaths

TikTok deaths are becoming very common as teenagers go a little too far for their videos on the mobile phone app. Recently, an eighteen-year-old boy lost his life in Narowal while recording a TikTok video with three other friends.

Reports suggest that Muhammad Husnain was recording a video in the Narowal canal when his foot slipped and he fell in the water. Unable to swim, the young man drowned.

Rescue officials found his body after searching the area for 6 days. The body was shifted to his native village.

Police have decided to take action and interrogate Husnain’s friends.

Such incidents are not new in the country. Earlier a 26-year-old, in the Korangi area of Karachi, lost his life while driving and recording a video with his friends.

Another teenage boy accidently shot himself dead in the city while recording a TikTok video. He was cleaning his father’s firearm while making a TikTok video.

We are all about supporting and promoting creativity among the youth of our country, but these TikTok deaths suggest the app has taken a toll on them. Will parents step in before its too late?
