The Minar-e-Pakistan incident has shaken the nation to its core. On August 14, a TikToker named Ayesha Akram was harassed and assaulted by a mob of 400 men in Lahore. People condemned the incident while demanding that justice is served, however, the latest revelations have given birth to new theories and some of them are now skeptical.
Former actresses Sanam Chaudhry and Mathira have also shared their doubts on the matter. While they are still in disbelief and want the culprits to be punished severely, they think the incident might be staged and Ayesha is playing the ‘victim card’ to get attention.
When photos and videos from Minar-e-Pakistan started doing rounds on social media, Sanam Chaudhry like the rest of the nation spoke up against the heinous crime and extended support to the victim. She showed empathy with her and prayed for a just trial.

However, she didn’t expect Ayesha Akram to appear in an interview and make videos just a day or two after the incident occurred. In a video she made with her team member Rambo, who was also there at the scene, Ayesha asked for justice.
Sharing that video to her Instagram Story, Sanam Chaudhry expressed her doubts and wrote,
“I am unable to digest that she has the time to make such videos”.
Sanam was distressed to see what happened to her in the viral videos, but she was unable to feel her pain.
However, she still wants the criminals to be punished.
“May everyone be safe, Ameen,” she wrote.
Mathira also felt the same way, she left a comment under the video and said,
”Sorry but I thought the same. The trauma and sorrow it’s not at all shown on her face or maybe what happened is seriously wrong but i think she has decided to cash this unfortunate event ”
