Recently, a Balochi girl from Quetta made headlines when she sang the classic Balochi song “Laila o’ Laila” with singer/actor Ali Zafar. After mesmerizing social media with her melodic voice, 12-year-old Urooj Fatima wants to do a collaboration with the renowned Sufi singer, Abida Parveen.
A Dream Come True
A big fan of the ‘Teefa in Trouble’ actor, Urooj Fatima had shown great interest in working with Ali Zafar. The 12-year-old’s dream came true, when Ali Zafar performed the famous Balochi folk song with her.
As soon as the video was uploaded, fans on social media instantly showed love and praised the young girl’s pitch perfect rendition of the song.
In an interview on SAMAA TV’s show ‘Naya Din’, Fatima said it was an honour working with the ‘Teefa in Trouble’ star and how humble he was. She also revealed about how the two worked so well as it didn’t take long for Zafar to understand the song.
“The biggest moment of my life was when Ali Zafar posted on twitter that he feels honoured after performing with me.”
This was a dream come true for the young Baloch singer, as she thanked her family and her brother, who took her to Lahore to perform with Ali Zafar.

Social media is buzzing with Urooj Fatima’s vocals as they cannot wait to see what other song she performs. Fatima has made it clear that her next goal is to work with the legendary Abida Parveen.
