Veteran Pakistani Actor Shabbir Mirza Passes Away

Veteran actor Shabbir Mirza who was a prominent face from the PTV golden era comedy serial Guest House passed away on Wednesday thus increasing the loss of the entertainment world.

Shabbir Mirza was suffering from cancer and his condition worsened about one and a half months ago.

He played lead roles in various drama serials, including Guest House, Miki Khad England, Aghoosh, and Chan Maada Chidiya, and won various awards for his phenomenal performances.

He worked with Irk Films production in the Siyaah Series on Green Entertainment, Jhol, and the upcoming story Baharbano which will be his last TV appearance.

Guest House aired on PTV Network in 1991. It was such a super hit series in Pakistan that people wrote letters to PTV never to finish it. The story revolves around a guest house named ‘Guest House’ located in a posh area of Islamabad which was run by Mr. Shameem and his wife with the help of their three permanent regular employees, Naveed, Murad, and Rambo.

They used to get involved in a series of comic and tragic situations with every new guest who came to stay there.
