Wajahat Rauf Recounts How He Recovered From Coronavirus After 31 Days

There’s so much about the virus we don’t know.

Wajahat Rauf

Wajahat Rauf is a famous Pakistani director, actor, screenwriter, producer, and musician. He is the person behind some hit commercial movies like Karachi Se LahoreLahore Se Aagey, and Chhalawa. He took to his Instagram account to reveal that he has recovered from COVID-19, but there’s more to this story.

To everyone’s surprise, the actor from Pakistani sitcom Meri Teri Kahani shared that he contracted the virus for 31 long days. He shared the story of how he kept his calm and dealt with this situation for a whole month.

Calling it a one-sided affair, the director did not leave humor out of it:

Corona fell in love with me for 31 days and just wouldn’t let go. It was probably the longest one sided affair I’ve had in my life. But she didn’t love me all the way hence I had mild symptoms only.

While a lot of Pakistani celebrities revealed the news of them contracting coronavirus, nobody knew that Wajahat too was dealing with it. He says he did not want attention for the ‘wrong reasons’.

Didn’t tell anyone as haven’t met anyone in 45 days and didn’t want the attention for the wrong reasons. But I’m cool with seeking attention now.

However, he returned to the main topic of concern and wished everyone good health.

On a serious note, may Allah bless you all with good health and my heart and prayers go out to all those suffering or have lost a loved one due to this pandemic.

He ended the note by thanking his wife and sons who took care of him and kept him distracted while maintaining their distance. He also advised everyone to keep calm.

A big thank you to Shazia Wajahat for taking such good care of me, my sons for keeping me entertained from a distance and immediate family for their prayers.

The only real advice I can give you is, don’t panic! I know it sounds a lot worse when the PM says it.

You heard it from the man who suffered from the virus for one month. Don’t panic, and all shall be well. We hope everyone recovers soon and we hear more stories that portray courage and strength.
