Camon 30S Pro is Tecno’s First Ever Phone With Wireless Charging

Tecno has quietly released a new smartphone called the Camon 30S Pro. This is the first Tecno phone that can be charged wirelessly and is the first to use MediaTek’s 6nm Helio G100 chipset.

Camon 30S Pro has a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution with 1300 nits peak brightness. It is a 10-bit panel with support for 1 billion colors and has an optical fingerprint sensor.

Tecno Camon 30S Pro also boasts IP53 dust and splash resistance.

Internals and Software

The phone has a new MediaTek chip called the Helio G100, which is 7% faster than the previous model. It comes with 8 GB of RAM, which can be expanded to 16 GB, and 25 6GB of storage, but there’s no microSD card slot.

The software is Android 14 with HiOS 14 on top.

Camera

On the back is a 50MP main camera based on Sony’s IMX896 sensor that is 1/1.56” with OIS in addition to a 2MP secondary shooter. The front also has a 50MP shooter for selfies. There is no mention of video recording capabilities.

Battery and Pricing

Camon 30S Pro has a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged quickly with a 45W cable or a 20W wireless charger. The phone comes with a special case that magnetically attaches to the wireless charger. You can also use other wireless chargers that don’t have magnets.

There has been no announcement regarding price or availability yet.
