ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has released a total of Rs. 14.252 billion under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP 2022-23) to execute 113 different projects aimed at ensuring the availability of affordable residential facilities.
According to the details, of the total funds, around Rs. 3.191 billion have been utilized on the housing sector projects during seven months (July-January) of the current fiscal year.
Furthermore, the budgetary allocation includes Rs. 12.273 billion for 107 ongoing projects and Rs. 1.711 billion for six new schemes.
Moreover, an amount of Rs. 523 million has been earmarked for the rehabilitation and construction of roads in Hyderabad City, and an additional Rs 486 million has been allocated for the construction of steel roads in different areas of District Bahawalpur.
The Government has also allocated Rs. 1 billion for the rehabilitation and construction of roads in SITE Industrial Estate, Karachi, and Rs. 250 million for the construction of a carpeted road in District Gujranwala, while an amount of Rs. 239.875 million will be kept for the balance of liabilities of 2018.
