FAISALABAD: During the past year, the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) took action against illegal housing colonies by registering 175 cases and sending 380 challans to the courts.
The FDA’s enforcement teams also carried out demolitions at 245 illegal housing schemes. The details were shared in a briefing chaired by the newly appointed Director General, Muhammad Asif Chaudhry.
Additional Director General Abid Hussain Bhatti provided a briefing during the meeting, which was attended by Chief Engineer Mehr Ayub, directors, and officers.
The Director General was informed that there were currently 163 approved housing schemes and 230 schemes in the pipeline.
In addition, FDA has digitalized its records and introduced smart cards, as well as carried out repairs and maintenance of parks in the city.
