RDA Issues Notices to Companies Advertising Illegal Housing Schemes

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has taken action against 4 marketing companies, including Anzo Marketing, Wall Real Estate, Titanium Agency, and Vital Marketing, for advertising illegal housing schemes without the RDA’s approval.

According to details, such an activity is considered illegal under the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules-2021.

A spokesperson for the RDA stated that Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the Director General of the RDA, directed the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate to issue notices to the companies.

According to him, a sponsor cannot advertise the sale of plots or housing units in print and electronic media or in any way without the prior approval of the authority.

The RDA is committed to taking strict legal action against companies that advertise illegal housing schemes to protect the public from fraud, said the spokesman.

Moreover, Jappa urged people to cooperate with the authority and refrain from investing in illegal housing schemes.

He noted that the RDA website is a reliable source to inquire about approved housing schemes, and a special desk has also been established to assist the public.
