Balochistan Govt Set to Develop 2 Fish Harbors at Ormara and Jiwani

GWADAR: The Balochistan government is working on developing two fish harbors, one at Ormara and another at Jiwani, according to Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo.

These two projects are part of a development initiative undertaken for the Gwadar district.

Along with these, the government has also allocated funds to improve education, health infrastructure, highway connectivity, fisheries, water, and electricity.

The construction and repair of classrooms in schools, the building of hospitals and health centers, and the availability of clean drinking water are some of the major initiatives.

Furthermore, the GDA Hospital in Gwadar has been handed over to Indus Hospital, which provides free-of-cost modern treatment facilities with top-quality doctors and paramedical staff.

The CM stated that the government was implementing various projects to provide maximum facilities to the general public.

Moreover, hefty funds have been allocated for various development projects, such as the construction and repair of classrooms in schools, the construction of multi-purpose halls and libraries, and the improvement of basic health units and regional health centers in Gwadar.

A fund of Rs. 900 million has also been allocated for the construction of highways connecting Makran Coastal Highway to several villages in Gwadar, while Rs700 million is being spent on connecting highways from M8 to villages, Coastal Highway, and Kanda Sol.

The government is also paying full attention to minority development by allocating Rs. 13 million to the Hindu community as per their demand.
