LAHORE: In a major operation carried out by various Lahore Development Authority (LDA) teams, several illegally constructed buildings in Jubilee Town, New Defence Road, and LDA Avenue-I housing scheme have been demolished.
The LDA has been taking strict measures against illegal constructions in the city to maintain the city’s beauty and ensure the safety of the citizens.
The authority has warned the public several times to avoid constructing illegal structures, but some individuals continue to ignore the directives and carry out illegal construction activities.
As a result, the LDA teams took action and conducted a massive operation to demolish these illegal structures.

Not only that buildings are constructed illegaly, but most of the residential area in LDA Avenue I has been converted into commercial areas entirely illigaly. So much so that people are afraid of starting their homes as next plot has already been purchased by someone known to start business. Business activity is visible everywhere in residential areas.
Please stop this conversion of residential into commercial areas to keep this society liveable. All the beauty is being destroyed due to negligence if staff. Every one knows the irregularity but this commercial illegal occupation of residential blocks is soread8ng like jungle fire and needs prompt remedial measures.
