ISLAMABAD: To ensure smooth traffic flow during Eid days, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to repair the old Murree Road beneath the flyover portion of the Bhara Kahu bypass.
The dilapidated one-kilometer-long road will be repaired by the engineering wing to make way for a smooth flow of traffic, as directed by CDA Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal.
According to officials, the transom work has been completed and the shuttering and other materials will be removed for the road repair.
Furthermore, the portion of the road from Malpur to Jhugi Stop has already been completed and the CDA will decide in a meeting today whether to open the bypass road on Eid.
Mengal stated that the flyover portion project will be completed within two months, and efforts will be made to finalize and open it for traffic on Eidul Azha.
