PESHAWAR: Haji Zubair Ali, Mayor of Peshawar, inaugurated the city’s first ladies’ park in the Shalimar Garden area on Wednesday.
The park will only be accessible to women and their families, according to a statement issued by the district administration.
During the inauguration, the mayor was accompanied by various officials, including Director General Capital Metropolitan Government Syed Waqas Ali Shah and Municipal Inter Colleges Shahi Bagh Principal Nusrat Matoob.
Speaking on the occasion, Haji Zubair Ali said that the park would provide women with the best possible recreational facilities.
He added that women with various ailments, including blood pressure, sugar, diabetes, and depression, would be able to exercise and refresh their minds in the park.
The mayor further stated that the establishment of a separate recreational facility for women was an important day in the history of Peshawar.
To ensure safety, he emphasized that no swings would be installed in the park.

Wrong information, poor journalism. It’s not first ever female park in Peshawar. There are multiple female parks in Peshawar, some are old and some new.

What am illogical and misleading article only to make the position holders happy… There are already many ladies only and family parks in Peshawar and this may be an addition to them.. it’s by no mean the first ever ladies park.

This is not the first ladies only park in Peshawar.
In Hayatabad Town there are 2 ladies only parks. One is located in phase-5 named Khyber park and the other in phase-6 named ladies park. Both are ladies only parks where boys under the age of 12 are allowed with females. Khyber park has been ladies only park for than 25 years.
Still it’s a good thing that another such area is being built and specified for women where they can feel safe and do healthy activities.

Political column. Otherwise Peshawar is host to many such parks. Old Parda baagh Peshawar city, Hayatabad Township’s Khyber park, phase 4, 6, 2 parks are all only designated for ladies

The watchmen people cannot be trusted.They make physical relationship with ladies.I heard many stories. There should be watchwomen instead of men.Men should not be allowed inside parks

No words has been uttered by Mayer Peshawar regarding security of females. Another aspect is that in case cctv are installed the leak of footage can’t be ignored.
Better that female shall be accompanied by husband with CNIC of couple, so I believe it’s will improve the image
Its a good step…. but just for the record, its not the first ladies park…. Khyber Park of Hayatabad is the first ladies park opened almost 40 years ago… Ladies Park of Phase 6 Hayatabad was opened almost 15 years ago….
