LAHORE: Former Punjab Governor and PTI leader, Sarfraz Cheema, has been booked in a case by the police on Monday for allegedly trying to grab the land of a widow in Wazirabad.
As per the details, the FIR was filed by the woman at Ghakkar police station, with eight accused including Cheema being nominated and 10 other unknown people being booked.
The incident took place in Baghrian village in Wazirabad where Cheema allegedly ordered his men to destroy crops and occupy the widow Mehwish’s land illegally.
The woman also alleged that at Cheema’s behest, his men beat her up, tore her clothes, and opened fire. The police have conducted raids to arrest the accused after registering the complaint.
