ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority has suspended Gohar Mehboob Malik, the manager of Daman-i-Koh, following public complaints of overcharging by vendors at the site.
A notification issued by the authority stated that Malik’s services had been suspended due to inefficiency and misconduct.
During his suspension period, he will be present at CDA’s nursery in Chak Shahzad during official working hours.
The overcharging issue is not limited to Daman-i-Koh; vendors at other picnic spots and kiosk holders are also allegedly involved in overcharging.
In some areas, vendors have even set up play areas for children where visitors complain of overcharging.
CDA Chairman has taken action against the officers concerned and stated that they will not tolerate such practices.
