The motive behind the brutal act was an ongoing property dispute. The police swiftly apprehended the accused, who is now in custody.
Besides, the lifeless body of the woman, who fell victim to her drug-addicted son’s violence, was discovered at Galaxy Apartment.
According to the authorities, the arrested culprit not only had a history of mistreating his mother but also had a disturbing pattern of drug addiction.
The son had allegedly been pressuring his mother for a share in the family property, resorting to violence when she refused to comply.
The police have recovered the murder weapon used in the heinous crime.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South, while addressing the media, confirmed the arrest of the perpetrator. A case has been registered against him, and investigations are underway to uncover all the details surrounding the shocking incident.
