KAGHAN: Hazara Division Commissioner, Aamir Sultan Tareen, led a meeting of the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) on Monday, focusing on resolving tourist difficulties and implementing practical measures to promote tourism in the region.
During the meeting, KDA officers from various departments received briefings on the initiatives undertaken in the Kaghan Valley at the beginning of the tourism season.
The discussions covered a range of topics, including tourism promotion, tourist facilities, and other relevant matters.
The meeting was attended by KDA Director General, Tariq Khan, as well as officials from different departments, including Manshera Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Bilal Shahid Rao, Balakot Assistant Commissioner, and others.
In a subsequent media statement, the commissioner informed that maintenance work on the Naran-Kaghan Road will commence soon.
In addition, he also highlighted the positive impact of hotel construction in Naran, which has improved accommodation facilities for tourists.
However, Commissioner Aamir Sultan Tareen emphasized the need for environmentally friendly structures, as concrete buildings have adverse effects on the ecosystem.
Regarding the violation of the River Protection Act due to construction, the commissioner stressed the importance of adhering to environmental laws and protecting the ecosystem.
Besides, he also stated that any buildings found to be in violation of regulations should be demolished, and no further construction permits will be granted.
