Balochistan Govt Accelerates Mangi Dam Development to Alleviate Water Shortage in Quetta

QUETTA: An official from the Balochistan government announced on Monday that the construction of the Mangi Dam is set to be completed by December 2023.

Once finished, the dam will supply approximately 8.1 million gallons of water daily to Quetta City and its surrounding areas.

According to details, the accelerated development work on Mangi Dam aims to address the water shortage in the region.

In addition to Mangi Dam, several other dams including Srah Khullah Dam are being constructed on the outskirts of Quetta.

These dams will provide water to the city through pipelines, while their completion is expected to resolve the water issue in the provincial capital.
